Readmission

Readmitting graduate applicants are students who have been absent from Seattle University for more than three consecutive quarters (excluding summer) and wish to return to the same graduate program in which they were last enrolled. The readmission application can be found here.

International students on an F-1 or J-1 visa must apply for readmission if they are absent for one quarter, unless that quarter is summer.

If you are now seeking a different program than when previously enrolled, you must submit a new application.

Admission requirements

  • If additional course work has been taken since last attending Seattle University, request that official transcripts from those colleges and universities be sent to the Graduate Admissions Office. Transcripts must remain sealed in the issuing institution’s envelope in order to be considered official.
  • Applications are subject to the review and discretion of the academic department and the Director of Graduate Admissions; therefore, readmission is not guaranteed. Additional documents may be requested.
  • Should changes in the program or curriculum have occurred in your absence, you will be required to complete the new curriculum as listed in the catalog in effect at the time of readmission.

Please see our policy regarding readmission requirements.
